ABBA The Visitors Edición de Lujo

The Visitors es el último album de estudio grabado por ABBA y lanzado en Suecia en noviembre de 1981, las grabaciones empezaron en mayo del 81 y terminaron apenas dos semanas antes de su lanzamiento. Para mayo de 2012 esperamos con ansias el lanzamiento de la edición de lujo de este album, el cual no difiere de las anteriores ediciones de lujo de las cuales ésta sería la quinta. 
Las canciones han sido remasterizadas para esta edición y la canción "One of Us" está precedida de un conteo al inicio el cual ya existía en las versiones del tema lanzados en Gran Bretaña y Sudáfrica.
En el DVD se incluye la edición del video original de "When all is said and done" y ese final "congelado" de "Under Attack" que pudimos apreciar en el video de un programa de televisión.
Pero sin duda alguna la máxima atracción de esta edición especial es que se incluye un track llamado "From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel", que no es, como se anunciaba en un principio en la "bulliciosa" prensa escrita, el regreso de ABBA ni mucho menos, se trata según Benny Andersson, de la evolución que sufre la canción "Like an angel passing through my room" la cual se convirtió en uno de los más grandes retos durante las sesiones de grabación lo que da la idea a Benny de poner en una única melodía todos los intentos previos a conseguir el resultado final, de modo que en octubre y noviembre de 2011 ponen manos a la obra y el track "De una estrella brillante a un angel que pasa" queda terminado y nos presentan una melodía de nueve minutos que va desde el primer demo con la voz de Bjorn de líder hasta una version con piano eléctrico y Frida en la voz principal muy similar a la versión final pasando por una version con Benny en el gran piano y Frida cantando una letra alternativa llamada "Otra mañana sin tí" o "Another morning without you".

ABBA´s COMEBACK!

Press articles like this one were published on newspapers all over the world, but sadly It is not the ABBA´s comeback it is the release of The Visitors Deluxe Edition: the original album with bonus tracks plus a DVD of rare and previously unreleased television material. "From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel" traces the evolution of " Like An Angel Passing Through My Room", the closing track of The Visitors the last ABBA studio album. Back in 1981, this particular song was one of the more challenging tunes during original recording sessions for the album. With the first demos and backing tracks being laid down in May 1981, it was until several different versions later, in November 1981, only three weeks before the album reached record stores.

As the Deluxe Edition of The Visitors was put together, ABBA’s Benny Andersson had the idea that it would be interesting to revisit the various recordings of the song and put together as a medley. And this he did in October and November of 2011. The nine-minute medley takes us from the very first demo, with vocals by Björn, to a run-through with Benny on electric piano and Frida on lead vocals, similar to the final version.
In between are a demo recording by Frida and Benny (on grand piano) with alternate lyrics entitled ‘Another Morning Without You’; a completely different “disco” attempt, played by a full band and with the final lyrics in place; and a ballad interpretation, also with a full band backing, featuring Frida on lead vocals. “It was fun to put this thing together, just to show what the process can be like,” says Benny Andersson. “It’s an interesting observation on how you labour over things before you reach the final result.
